Located in the centre of Prague, the craziness is truly all around you… The Madhouse Prague is one of the cities newest Hostels and since it’s establishment in April 2012, has quickly become the Premier Hostel and a favourite Party Hostel in the beautiful city of Prague. Their idea is simple: The Madhouse Prague provides you with much more than just a bed to sleep in, they’ll give you an unforgettable experience and memories which will last a lifetime. What makes them different to other hostels? At The Madhouse Prague, they work hard to create an environment that gives Backpackers a sense of home and family. Prague is known as the ‘City of a Hundred Spires’, but they know it as the ‘City of a Thousand Bars’, and they’re committed, if you are, to showing you each and everyone one of them (even if you don’t remember them tomorrow!). They’re no ordinary hostel; they’ll show you how to experience Prague… and no, we’re not talking about any castles or bridges. The reason you stay at The Madhouse Prague is for the amazing atmosphere and social vibe. It’s a place for meeting new people and making new friends from all over the world. They organize all kinds of activities daily including pub crawls, theme nights, and cultural day trips to Prague’s local beer gardens. Set up like a big house shared with 40 of your newest best friends, highlights include a comfy TV lounge full of bean bags and sofas where laziness is encouraged and free use of computers and WIFI throughout all rooms. The entire hostel was custom painted by two renowned graffiti artists from Montreal, Pito and Guko, meaning that you could find yourself in one of our unique and spacious dorm rooms such as Sin City or staring into the mouth of the TV room while watching a movie. The Madhouse Prague is brilliant fun with drinking games and nights out, and also in a great location for day trips out. Really good for meeting people and also great food every night cooked by the staff which is really cheap.

One of the best hostels that I’ve ever been to! The Madhouse Prague is definitely the place for you to go if you’re travelling alone or in a small group and want to have a nice time and meet nice people. When you check into the hostel you receive a welcome beer, and that pretty much gives you an idea of what is coming. There are things going on every night, some drinking games to start and then they head off to some club… If I return to Prague I have no doubt that I will stay on this hostel again.

FROM THE AIRPORT: Take bus 119 to Metro Station ‘Dejvicka’ and then take the Metro Train to ‘Mustek’ Station. Exit ‘Mustek’ Station and take Tram 9 for three stops to ‘Narodni Trida’. Walk across the tram tracks, then walk left and take your first right down Ostrovni Street. The Madhouse Prague is the first door on your left which is Number 34. Alternatively, a Taxi will cost you approximately 650 CZK (€26).
FROM THE MAIN TRAIN STATION (Hlavni Nadrazi): Exit the Train Station, turn right and walk 2 minutes through the park to the Tram Stop. Take tram 9 for five stops to ‘Narodni Trida’. Walk across the tram tracks, then walk left and take your first right down Ostrovni Street. The Madhouse Prague is the first door on your left which is Number 34. Alternatively, a Taxi costs approximately 150 CZK (€6).
FROM THE INTERNATIONAL BUS STATION (Florenc): Take Metro Line C (Red) for one stop to ‘Hlavni Nadrazi’. Exit the Train Station, turn right and walk 2 minutes through the park to the Tram Stop. Take tram 9 for five stops to ‘Narodni Trida’. Walk across the tram tracks, then walk left and take your first right down Ostrovni Street. The Madhouse Prague is the first door on your left which is Number 34. Alternatively, a Taxi costs approximately 200 CZK (€8)

  Agreed – this was the safest hostel I stayed in, left my stuff out all the time despite sharing with 13 people because by the first night there, I trusted everyone after staying up all night dancing, drinking and getting to know each other. I made the closest friends here, hardly slept, went out every night and had such a great time!

LOVE this place more than life itself!! Group outings, family dinners, comfy beds, great location, cheap beers, and the best way into the most amazing parties in Prague. It’s a family of the craziest travellers and staff that you will miss way more than your real family once you leave them.

Don’t think I will ever find another hostel quite like this! Absolutely amazing. The staff always have stuff planned for everyone in the evening after family dinners. No matter what night it is there are people going out and having a good time! Don’t think I’ve ever met anyone quite like the people at the Madhouse… They sure know how to party!
